SILENT VICTORY: MOMENTUM
We are Silent Victory, a rock band forged in the fires of classic rock heritage and modern production. Our story began in 2004, when we decided to try and blend the raw power of bands like Van Halen with the technical precision of more progressive bands, like Rush. We are a group of musicians dedicated to delivering high-octane performances that resonate with authenticity and energy. From our first rehearsal to our current gigs, we have been driven by a relentless pursuit of that vision and a shared passion for the rock genre.
Over the years, we have played many gigs, supporting established acts and playing some amazing festivals. As well as our own headline shows. Our debut album (No Sacred Ground) came out in 2010, to fantastic reviews and a launch party of over 200 hardcore supporters. Radio play and interviews followed along with magazine interviews and features. The band played Hard Rock Hell AOR in 2018 and supported Little Caesar in Manchester. The album was released in July 2010, with a launch party in front of over 200 hardened fans and supporters in Liverpool. A 2 page interview in Fireworks magazine really helped to raise the bands profile too. Headline gigs at the likes of Manchester Club Academy and support slots to artists such as Karnataka and Little Caesar followed. A huge highlight for the band was playing Hard Rock Hell AOR in 2018, sharing a stage with the like of Skid Row and Night Ranger.
Founding band member is Tony Rimmer on lead vocals and guitar. Powerful and passionate vocals with a huge range are his signature. Couple that with melodic lead guitar phrasing and you have the ideal front man for Silent Victory. Next is Steve Woods on bass and backing vocals. A love of 70's and 80's rock fuel Steve's thunderous bass playing. Steve has a vast band history and is adding to the writing for the new album too. Lead guitarists like Sam Bradbury don't come along every day and we snatched him up after audition. He is heavily influenced by Van Halen, Jake E Lee and Gary Moore. Put simply, he shreds! Plus he's a creative powerhouse with a stack of ideas to add to our writing. Our newest member is Stu Whitby on Drums. Another musician with vast experience and a love of rock and metal from every genre. Powerful, precise and the driving force of our live shows. When Stu hits the drums, they stay hit!
Silent Victory are back with a heavier sound and new album (titled Momentum) in the works which should be out in spring 2027. Ahead of that, we have a single release planned, accompanied by what will be our first music video ever!

“...What I loved about this album is that it merged and melded many diversities into a single, ORIGINAL output!... the songwriting is brilliant...creative, thoughtful and very intelligent...melodic and beautiful at times, angry and dissonant at other times. Perfect mix!...”

“...SILENT VICTORY have come up with a solid debut in “No Sacred Ground” and because the band seemed to have come out of nowhere (at least for me) it makes it that much more impressive. Its straight-ahead melodic rock sound, catchy songwriting and solid guitar work put it a notch above the norm...”

“...sound wise possibly the best comparison for this outfit would be FM, not because their sound runs too close to Steve Overland and Co., but because there are huge dollops of melodic rock blended to a more blues infused guitar style, which really adds some depth to the music. In fact Silent Victory manage to amass a collection of melodic rock influences into a sound that is reassuringly familiar, without ever actually relying too heavily on any one source for inspiration...”
